A loan of $450 helped buy school clothes to sell.

Lisset Emperatriz's story

Lisset is a woman with a small child aged 2, her principal motive for living. At present, she sells beauty products, which allows her to generate the income she needs, together with her husband's earnings in public transportation. This small family lives in the city of Ica, Peru, a location that over the years, has made great progress and developed economically.

Lisset spends approximately 5 hours a day soliciting sales, visiting her friends and neighbors. She understands that with effort, she can make sales and this will permit her to improve her quality of life constantly. With the help of Kiva lenders, she will be able to purchase school clothes, such as uniforms, blouses, and socks, among other items, to sell.

Lisset has laid out plans for the next few months, hoping to have an established store. And with her improved income, she hopes to fulfill her grand dream: “To have her own house.”
