A loan of $375 helped to buy compost and fertilizer.

Vilma's story

Vilma, 34, is a very responsible woman. She lives in her own house with her husband, Teodoro, 33, and their three children, for whom they want to provide a better quality of life. Vilma is a diligent and, above all, active woman. Since she was very young, her parents taught her everything about cultivating cacao and coffee, a majority of the crops they came to grow.

Fifteen years ago, she and her husband acquired their own land, planted in cacao. She notes that they have done very well with their harvests because, thanks to their sales, they were able to buy the house where they now reside. Now they need to maintain their crops since harvest time is approaching and they require a large production in order to pay household expenses as well as their children’s school fees.

This will be Vilma’s first loan with MFP and she is very happy knowing that she will have financial support. She is committed to making her payments on time. She is a very active and caring member in her communal bank.

With the S/. 1,000 she will buy compost and other fertilizer to maintain her fields.
