A loan of $1,125 helped to improve the ambiance of his chicken business.

Mario Damian's story

Mario, age 33, has two little ones, ages six and two. He constantly struggles to be able to get his small family ahead. He is willing to do many things in order to improve his quality of life.

He and his wife currently have a business selling chicken, and they work approximately six hours a day at the business. Basically, the business consists of selling rotisserie chicken, a well-known dish in the country. It is accompanied by french fries, salad, and some sauces. This dish is usually eaten by families on the week-ends.

Mario believes that he has a lot of customers because of his good seasoning. It was his wife who encouraged him to open this type of business. Ever since then they have worked together.

He now needs the Kiva lenders' help. They want to liven up some parts of their place to attract and keep customers. With great effort to improve their income, they want to expand their business in a few years. Then, they want to expand their location.
