Khadim Rassoul Group's story

The Khadim Rassoul solidarity group has been in existence since December 9, 2010. It is composed of 13 women who are relatives and friends. Their main business activities are vending and raising sheep.

Mrs. Penda, the group’s leader, is 42 years old. She is married, with two children, and six other dependents. She has been selling staple foods (rice, oil, millet, sugar etc) for 13 years, and has a lot of experience. In the photo, she is standing on the right wearing a blue and pink outfit. She plans to user her loan to strengthen her business in the hope of increasing her revenues. In the future she would like to be able to earn enough to buy a house for her children, as well as to expand her business.
