A loan of $1,550 helped a member to buy garments to sell.

San Damian Group's story

The communal bank San Damian is in its first loan cycle and has 12 members. The group stands out in the neighborhood for being united, caring, and responsible for one another. They do activities to raise money for the group so that they have a fund to meet any problem.

Marta is the group's president. She told us that she sells all types of garments. With hard work and sacrifice, she has supported herself and continues to make progress. She says her dream is to have a larger space, where she can offer a wider variety of clothing to her clients.

She requests the loan to buy garments, with which she will restock and in this way be able to maintain her income and support her family. She, like the rest of the group, is grateful to the foundation for the opportunity.
