Progresistas Group's story

Las Progresistas is a unified group from the municipality of García, Nuevo León. They are requesting their second loan with this institution so they can continue investing in their businesses. They are a small group of six women who know each other very well, since they all live very close to each other in the same neighborhood. They add that they are looking forward to this loan because it helps them and they enjoy it. Maricela is one of the women in the group. She is married and is 38 years old. She has two children, a 12-year-old daughter who is in school and a 4-year-old son who is about to start kindergarten. About two years ago, Maricela decided to start selling natural weight-loss products to her friends and neighbors. She says that it is going very well because she can sell these products throughout the year since there are always people who are on a diet to improve their health. Right now she is offering these products at a very good discount, which is why she wants to take advantage of the loan to acquire more products and be able to increase her profits. Maricela hopes to continue growing her sales and hopes to one day set up a nutrition club. In the long term, she hopes to be a product representative, since she can make more money from the comfort of her home.
