Mujeres Unidas (Women United) is a group that was formed in the city of Curuguaty and is currently in its second loan cycle with the program for female entrepreneurs from the Fundación Paraguaya. They have seen in this program a great opportunity for their prospects in life, and they would like to be able to improve conditions for their children and relatives, and for this they are always striving.

Myrian works every day in the Laundromat that she has in her house. She told us that she started with a few machines and later, thanks to her effort and dedication, she was able to improve on this by offering better accomodations to her customers. Her goal is to continue to grow and to make it possible to provide her neighbors with sources of work.

She is asking for the credit to buy soap, rinses, softeners and other supplies necessary to continue working and offering good service to her customers.

Mujeres Unidas es el grupo formado en la ciudad de Curuguaty, están actualmente en el segundo ciclo del programa de mujeres emprendedoras de la fundación paraguaya. Ellas han visto en estte programa una gran oportunidad en sus proyectos de vida, y desean poder mejorar las condiciones de sus hijos y familiares, y es por ello que siempre se esfuerzan.
Myrian trabaja todos los días en la lavandería que tiene en su casa. Nos comenta que empezó con unas cuantas maquinas, y que luego gracias a su esfuerzo y dedicación ha podido ir creciendo y de esa forma ofrecer mayor comodidad a sus clientes. Su meta es poder seguir creciendo y de ser posible ayudar a sus vecinos con fuentes de trabajo.
Ella solicita el crédito para la compra de jabón, enjuagues, suavizantes y demás insumos necesarios para poder seguir trabajando y ofreciendo un buen servicio a sus clientes.

Fundación Paraguaya is a financially self-sustaining social enterprise that promotes entrepreneurship in urban and rural areas through microfinance, education programs, and more. Its focus on agriculture has helped many farmers boost their crop yields. And a number of other borrowers have taken out loans to start and grow social businesses that have helped deliver eyeglasses, medicines and other helpful services in their local communities.

The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
