A loan of $1,225 helped to purchase construction materials for the cattle shed expansion.

Natia's story

Natia is 33 years old. She lives in the village of Sartichala in East Georgia with her family: her husband, Akaki, two daughters (three and nine years old) and her mother-in-law. Natia’s oldest child goes to school. Akaki is a worker in the village. Natia’s mother-in-law works as a nurse in the village hospital. Natia runs the family's agricultural business. They have three milk cows. Natia produces cheese and sells on average 70 kg of this product to local dairy product retailers. The total average monthly income of the family is 700 Laris.

Natia plans to expand her dairy farm through purchasing additional milk cows, but the current cattle shed doesn’t allow her to keep more than three cows. Taking this into account, Natia has requested a loan for the expansion of the cattle shed. When Natia increases the amount of cows on the dairy farm, she will be able to produce and sell more dairy products and increase the family's income.
