Ubaldina

Paraguay
Paraguari, Paraguay / Grocery Store

A loan of $1,300 helped to buy items with which to stock her store.

Ubaldina's story

Ubaldina is a very hard-working and responsible lady. She is single and lives in her own home together with her brother and her niece who she thinks of as a daughter as she doesn't have children herself.

Ubaldina is a very selfless and humble woman. She has a grocery store that she set up together with her mother more than 30 years ago. In 1984 she traveled to the United States in search of work as a domestic employee because, back then, the money she made barely covered her food costs. After five years she returned in a better financial position and invested a lot of money in her home and grocery store. Then in 2007 she traveled once again to the same country and returned after four years in 2011. These days she works serving in her grocery store. She serves all the customers in her area who prefer her business because of the humble and respectful service she offers them.

Ubaldina requested this loan to buy food products, drinks, dairy products, vegetables etc. so that she can further supply her store and keep it well stocked.
