A loan of $1,400 helped a member to change the body of her husband's rickshaw.

Azra's Group's story

Azra is 47 years old, married with 7 children who are between 11 and 25 years of age. Besides her eldest son and eldest daughter, the others are getting their education. Her eldest son is a driver by profession and her daughter does sewing. Both are financially contributing to the family.
Azra herself is a very caring and supportive lady. She is involved in the embroidery profession. She crafts beautiful embroidered designs on clothes which earns good profit for her.
Her husband is a driver by profession. He drives a three-wheeled vehicle called a rickshaw and offers his services. He drops his passengers to their designated places. He has set charges route-wise which are very affordable for passengers.
Azra has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her husband’s business. With the loan, her husband will change the body of his rickshaw and give it a presentable look so the passengers prefer getting his services and feel safe.
She is hopeful that the loan will be proved a productive one for her husband.
