A loan of $1,250 helped to buy rice, drinks and candy.

Francia Edith's story

Francia is 63, and lives in a suburb of Guayaquil. After the loss of her husband, she found it necessary to set up a business, so that she and her family could survive-- and she did so with much determination. She works hard every day with her eldest son, from 6:00am to 11:00pm.

In the future she wants to have a very spacious business to display her merchandise. She will use the loan to buy food products such as rice, drinks, candy and sweets.
