The group leader of this small group is Rose T.. She is currently in the business of selling motor cycle spare parts and is requesting a loan to increase her capital stock. Rose is 35 years old and is married with a husband who is a mechanic for work. She has 4 children ranging from ages 8 to 19 and her children go to school. Each week, Rose makes approximately UGX 120000 in profits and with the extra profits from her loan, she hopes to be able to pay the school fees for her children and cater for the household necessities. Rose has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 400000 in order to add to her business and the loan was paid back on time.

Rose is joined in her small group by Betty K., Martha K., Mariam N., and Robinah N.. Betty K. has a business selling edibles and wants to put up a kiosk. Martha K. is currently operating a beauty salon business and wants a loan to purchase a hair dryer and a public pay phone. Mariam N. operates a salon business and wants to purchase more salon equipment. Robinah N. is currently in the business of selling vegetables and is requesting a loan to start a business selling matooke.
