A loan of $2,700 helped a member to buy supplies to stock her grocery store.

La Esperanza Group's story

The communal bank La Esperanza was formed by 15 neighbors in the city of Mariano Roque Alonso, where all the bank members carry out activities independently and work as a group to promote their fellowship. The members are a very united group, capable of working together on activities that strengthen their friendship.

Pamela is one of the members of the communal bank. She has a grocery store in her house. She has 1 child and her husband is a nurse. She is very happy with their activities and the training the group receives. Because of them she has been able to get ahead and improve her family's situation.

She is requesting the loan to buy beverages, meats, dairy products, vegetables, and the other supplies she needs to stock space. They are very happy for the help they are receiving from the foundation and from Kiva.
