A loan of $800 helped to buy five bundles of clothing from the United States and plastic goods for her business.

Clisanta's story

Clisanta, 63, is a single mother with eight children, three of them dependent on her. Clisanta lives in San Lorenzo, Valle, where she sells merchandise with the help of one of her daughters.

Clisanta's business is selling used clothing for children and adults. She also goes out on foot to various places in San Lorenzo to sell.

She is requesting 15,000 lempiras (HNL) to buy five bundles of clothing from the United States and plastic goods, because she wants to make her business bigger and in this way have more profits to continue supporting her daughter, who also is a single mother with three children. Clisanta wants to support her children to build the house where her children and grandchildren can grow up.

Clisanta is very much a fighter, and with her effort she has been able to get ahead alone and support her children. She is a great example for many people who admire her.
