Rose Madeleine Group's story

Created in 2008, the solidarity group Rose Madeleine consists of 15 women, most of whom practice the same activity. The head of the group is Élisabeth, standing at the right in the photo, with her hand raised. She is 60 years old, married and the mother of one child. She also looks after some of her nieces, nephews and grandsons.

Elisabeth sells bissap juice (made from dried hibiscus), pain de singe (baobab fruit) and ice. With her experience, she has a good command of her activity.

This loan will allow her to buy the ingredients needed to make bissap juice. She plans to use the income earned from this activity to buy some land and build her own house. She wants to improve her family’s living conditions.

In this group: Elisabeth, Cecile, Marie Esperance, Anna , Helene, Cecile Tening, Helene Thialy, Helene Fatou, Yvonne Diouma, Cecile Maye, Elisabeth, Emilie, Rose Daba, Mariama, Eugenie
