Brenda Esperanza's story

Brenda is a young woman who lives in a southern district of San Lorenzo. She is married with two children and the family lives in Brenda’s parents’ house.

For 11 years now her work has consisted in making and selling bread, doughnuts, dairy products, ice-lollies and fresh juices. She travels around the local area selling her products in nearby villages and neighbourhoods. She goes out very early to sell her products to schools and households. She is applying for a loan so that she can buy firewood, sugar, eggs, bread, dairy products etc.

Brenda aims to use the income generated by her business to send her children to school and buy them what they need so that they never want for anything. She would also like to grow her business so that she can increase her profits.

Brenda’s dream is to have her own house and to grow her business so that it is stable and she is able to provide her children with a better quality of life.
