Takku Liguey Group's story

The solidarity group Takku Ligguey was created March 8 2012. It consists of 14 women from the same neighborhood whose main activity is small trade. The head of the group is Mrs. Mame, standing at the right of the photo with her hand raised. She is 43 years old, married and the mother of 8 children. She runs a small business selling vegetables and fish. With several years of experience in this sector, she now has a good command of her activity. She will use her loan to buy vegetables and fish for resale at the local market. The profits earned through this activity will allow her to improve her children’s living conditions.
