Sainte Rita Group's story

This group was created at the inauguration of the local Banc Villageois. It consists of 11 members mostly from the same neighborhood whose main activity is small trade.

The head of the group is Marie Jeanne, age 58. She is married with seven children. She also looks after some of her grandchildren.

She is a merchant who sells lemon juice, brooms and groundnuts. With several years of experience to her credit, she now has a good command of her activity.

This loan will allow her to stock up on merchandise to sell. She will use the profits earned to take care of her children and provide for their education.
