A loan of $4,175 helped a member to buy clothes and "pagnes" (colorful African cloth).

Sainte Famille Group's story

Saint Famille Group was established in 2008. It is made up of ten women from the same village who run the same business, retail.

Thèrese is responsible for the group. She's standing on the right in the photograph. She's 49 years old, married, and the mother of four children. She has nephews and nieces in her care.

She runs a small business selling pagnes (colorful African cloth) and clothes in her village.

With her part of the loan, she will buy clothes and pagnes, and resell them in her neighborhood and its surroundings, as well as to her friends at the Banc Villageois.

Her revenue will enable her to ensure her children can go to school. She also intends to build her own house.
