A loan of $4,150 helped a member to purchase clothing to sell.

Kuña Katypyry Group's story

The Encarnación Group came about as the result of the efforts of one of its members to contact the Fundación Paraguaya [Paraguay Foundation]. Currently, the group is in its 13th loan cycle, and has been working with the Foundation since 2007. The members are all friends and neighbors. They all see an opportunity to get ahead for each of them and their families. One of the members of the group is Dorotea. She has two children and is accompanied by Guillermo, who is a construction worker. Dorotea has sold clothing for several years. She says that she will use the loan she receives from the Foundation to purchase clothing, and that this time she is requesting a new loan to purchase more clothing, which she will use to supply her business, and in this way have more variety to offer her customers.
