Las Lupitas Group's story

The group Las Lupitas is formed by nine joyful and hardworking ladies, each of them doing a different business activity: Carmela, Maria de Guadalupe and Esperanza sell clothing; Reyna and Maricruz sell sodas, Guadalupe does tailoring and sells cosmetics, Luz Maria sells snacks, Virginia sells groceries and Elizabeth sells shoes, this group is located in the community of Vicente where one of the main sugar cane producers of the area is located called La Magarita and the majority of the inhabitants are workers in the plantations of sugar cane.

Maria Guadalupe sells clothing to help support her family. Her husband works as a contractor but what he makes is not enough because the current economic situation gets worse each day. Her business is very good, but she needs to re-stock it to increase her revenue and help her husband provide a better quality of life to their daughters.

She will invest the loan in the purchase of a variety of blouses, pants, dresses, shorts, skirts, undergarments, because she thinks that having a well stocked business with a variety of products sales will go up.

Maria lives with her husband and two daughters ages eight and six. All her income goes to provide for daily necessities and for school. It is very important to her that her daughters get a good education so they can make a good life for themselves when they become adults.

Maria is a hardworking person and she wants to be a successful business woman. She feels it's important to establish a good example to her children, so they can see that if you work hard you can have a better life.

The group Las Lupitas is thankful to the institution for the support and trust shown by giving them a loan.
