Santo Niño Group's story

Santo Niño group is made up of six entrepreneurial women. They decided to name their group this because there is a chapel near their homes with this name.

Among the members is Isabel who is in a civil union and is a mother to two children who are in school (15 and 16 years old). One of the things that distinguishes her is that she is a woman who struggles to get ahead. Currently she works in a maquiladora [factory] where they produce steering wheels for cars and she also sells lingerie. Her interest in this micro-business began when her niece brought her some merchandise to sell and it was received well. She makes her sales from her home and she wants to invest in larger quantities of to expand the business.

Her dream is to establish a store and commit herself completely to it. In this way she will be able to giver her children a better future and have more time for them.

In this group: Adriana Mireya, Cynthia Rosalinda, Isabel Griselda, Leticia, Patricia Aurora, Yadira Aidee
