A loan of $800 helped to buy raw materials for her business like milk, curds, salt, and other supplies to make cheese, butter, and curds, etc.

Francisca's story

Francisca is a single mother who lives in a village in the San Pedro Sula municipality in Cortes. She lives with her 14 year old son, and he goes to school. Francisca is very enterprising. She always wanted to work on her own, and with a great deal of effort she managed to establish her own business. For several years she has been making cheese, butter, curds, and others. She works all day at this business activity. She has continued with her business with loans. She is currently requesting her fourth loan with ODEF. She will use it to buy milk, curds, salt, and other supplies to make cheese, butter, and curds, etc. Her goal is to always have the raw materials for her business on hand and to keep her clientele.
