A loan of $575 helped to purchase materials to set up his beauty salon such as mirrors and tools for cutting hair.

Pastor's story

Pastor is 36 years old. He is entrepreneurial and hardworking. He is single and does not have children. He lives alone with a friend with whom he splits the rent. He lives comfortably in a rented home. Pastor is a stylist, doing manicures and pedicures at home, and haircuts and hairstyles for women, men and children. His primary customers are his friends and family. He learned his vocation in an occupational education program in his hometown of Tarapoto. He has been doing this type of work for over 15 years, just working out of a room set up for this purpose in the house where he lives. He considers his profession pretty profitable based on his earnings. He is often requested for his good cuts and styling. He likes his profession, and enjoys being a stylist and being his own boss. His work is entertaining and profitable, now that his business is located in a commercial area that has good foot traffic. For this reason he plans to expand, open a gym, and open another branch.

This is his second loan with MFP. He likes the work he is doing and the support he has received. He would like to continue to receive this support, and comments he will make his payments on time. He will invest the 1,500 new soles he has requested in materials to fix up his salon, as well as hair clippers, mirrors, etc. so that he will have a more comfortable environment for his customers.
