A loan of $725 helped to purchase rice, garri, beans, maize, tomatoes and onion.

Lum's story

Lum is married and lives with her two children in Ntarikon, in the Bamenda Mezam Division of the northwest region of Cameroon. Challenges she has faced include the death of her father, minimal education due to her family's lack of funds, and the ill health of her children.

With the loan requested, she will buy beans, maize, groundnuts, garri, groundnut oil, onions and magi cubes. She believes that her business will succeed because of her good location, and her knowledge and experience in the business. She provides her community access to a regular supply of items at affordable prices.

She will use the profit from her business for family medication, children's school fees, food, supporting other relatives and expanding her business. She says that a GHAPE loan is preferable because of its low interest rates, convenient time of payment, and education on loan management.
