Sop Sergne Bara Group's story

The Sop Serigne Bara solidarity group has been created on December 15, 2008. IT is composed of eight women living in the same neighborhood and belonging to the same “dahira” (African association). They are friends and neighbors who decided to form a group together. They all work as vendors.
Arame, standing on the right in the photo with her hand raised, is the group’s leader. She is 56 years old, married and the mother of seven. She sells fruits, vegetables and cloth.
