A loan of $5,925 helped a member to buy and sell cattle.

Girasol Copal (Flat) Group's story

Adelfa lives in a small community called Copal. She is married to Gregorio and they have five children who are still in their care.

She is requesting a loan for her cattle business which she has been in for a little over three years. She says the results have been good for her family.

Adelfa started the business to be able to help her husband cover household expenses and give their small family everything they need. Gregorio buys and sells the cattle and Adelfa takes care of feeding the animals and running the household. Sometimes she goes out to sell with her husband.

She wants to continue with her small business as long as she continues receiving support.

The members of the group are: Mayola who will invest in buying and selling chickens, Juana in hand embroidered clothing, Guadalupe in groceries, Amelia in groceries, Laura in hand embroidered clothing and Mercedes in buying and selling shoes.

In this group: Adelfa, Mayola, Juana, Guadalupe De Jesus, Amelia, Laura, Mercedes
