A loan of $4,975 helped a member to buy clothes.

Nueva Vida Group's story

The community association 'Nueva Vida' [New Life] will be beginning their third loan cycle with 'Pro Mujer' [For Women] as a part of the 'Centro Focal de Collpani'. The group is made up of eleven members and has a board of directors that is led by Fabiola. The businesses that the members of the group are involved with are varied and include: selling groceries, selling meat, sewing, selling carpets, selling athletic clothing, selling blankets and selling pants.

Fabiola said that she joined a community association a year ago. She has a business selling clothes, in which she has been working for many years. With this loan cycle she will use the money to increase her merchandise by buying more clothes. She buys from the markets and later re-sells the clothing from her business location. This work allows her to support her family; she is married and has six children.

When she was asked what she likes about 'Pro Mujer' [For Women] she said that she likes the consultations and trainings she receives about health.

In this group: Fabiola Concepción, Encarnación, Monica , Pacesa, Calixta, Evaristo, Martha Francisca, Griselda Exalta, Patricia, Mariela, Margarita
