A loan of $600 helped to have operating capital to buy flowers.

Marina's story

Marina is a 24-year-old young woman. She lives in her parents' house with her small child in the Huajchilla area of the city of La Paz.

The work she does is selling flowers in the market of the city of La Paz. She buys the merchandise from wholesalers in another community. It is a very demanding job, both for her and for her small child, because sometimes he goes with her at 4:30 in the morning, the time at which the merchandise arrives, to unload and get her stall ready for selling.

She does this job two days a week; Saturdays and Sundays, that is, because she also works as a domestic employee and gardener from Monday through Friday. Because of her diligence in these two activities, Marina is a very hardworking woman, and responsible about her young son.

The loan she is requesting is for her operating capital, with which she will buy merchandise and in this way diversify the flowers she sells.
