Margaritas De Mercedario Group's story

The “Margaritas de Mercedario” communal bank will start its first cycle in Pro Mujer as part of the Collpani Focal Center. It has 8 members and a governing board headed by Roxana. The communal bank members carry out a variety of businesses. Among them we have: jacket making, stationery shop, blanket weaving, underwear sales, neighborhood store, curtain making, carpentry and merchant.

Roxana indicates that she’s been a member of a communal bank for the last six months and that she currently has a carpentry business that she’s had for years having learned from her husband. The loan this cycle is to expand merchandise (purchase plywood) that she’ll acquire with the goal of manufacturing furniture. She will buy this product at the storage sheds and then sell it in her sales point. This way of working allows her to support her family since she’s married and has four children. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she answer that she likes the health area.

In this group: Roxana, Nelida Lita, Roxana, Margot Vilma, Verónica, Gimena, Margarita, Laura Cristina
