Maria Aida's story

María Aída is 31 years old, married, and has one child. She lives with her husband and her 6-year-old son in Guaranda, in Bolívar province.

The Mushuc Yuyay community bank is located 30 minutes from our offices. It has 10 members who are from Quivillungo community, in Guaranda.

María is a farmer who grows broccoli, lettuce and blackberries. She also raises chickens and pigs. She is requesting this loan to buy supplies, fertilizers, urea, manure, nutritionally-balanced animal feed, vitamins, vaccines and parasite remedies. She makes her purchases and sales in Guaranda every two weeks. The challenges she faces are pests and bad weather.

María's dream is to buy a vehicle for transporting her produce. In her spare time, she enjoys playing cards.
