A loan of $800 helped to buy manure, fertilizer, seeds and urea.

Pedro Fernando's story

Pedro Fernando, 22, is married and has a daughter; he lives with his wife and two year old daughter in Guaranda, Bolívar Province.

The “Mushuc Yuyay” communal bank is located thirty minutes from the office and it has ten members in the community of Quivillungo belonging to Guaranda.

Pedro farms blackberries and onions and raises chicks and cattle.

He asks for the loan to be able to buy manure, fertilizer, seeds and urea. His purchases and sales take place in Guaranda every week. The challenges he faces are poor weather and competition. With help from the loan he will be able to buy supplies and increase production.

His dream is to be able to buy a vehicle to transport his products. In his free time he likes playing Indor soccer.
