Balla Camara Group's story

The community group was created on 12th June 2008. It comprises 9 women who live in the same village. Their main activity is small retail trading. Josephine, who is on the right of the photo with her hand raised, is the group leader. She is 27 years old, single and the mother of 3 children. She runs a restaurant with a small bar. She has good experience in this activity, having worked in it for several years. This loan will allow her to increase her working capital and to better develop her business. The profits will allow her to improve the family's living conditions (health, food, clothing, etc) and to increase her savings.
