El negocio es bastante solvente pues trae carne por piezas, lo que le da un margen de ganancias bueno. Su familia está compuesta por 3 miembros: él, su esposa y una de sus hijas que es menor. Tiene hijas mayores, pero que ya son independientes y trabajan. Su esposa colabora en el negocio. Respecto a su historial crediticio, Don Hermogenes es uno de los clientes más antiguos con los que cuenta la institución y muy puntual en sus pagos.
