Mariana is 55 years old and married, and has seven children from her marriage. Four are married and live on their own. Her single children are 22, 18, and 16. Her 22-year-old daughter stays at home and helps with the housework and her next two children work to pay for their personal expenses. Her husband is a bricklayer by profession. The house they live in is their property.

Mariana stays at home and does the housework and takes care of her family. She also works raising guinea pigs, pigs, and chickens, which she sells in her community.

She has been with her communal bank for two years, and she is going to invest her loan in buying chickens, guinea pigs, and pigs to grow in this work.

Her goal is to have more capital to be an animal dealer.
