A loan of $1,075 helped to buy products for his grocery store.

Edison Bolivar's story

Edison is a young single man who lives in Los Bancos, a rural canton in the province of Pichincha, where the capital of Ecuador is located. One of the principal resources in Los Bancos is water, because its territory is the origin of a great number of streams and small springs that give way to rivers of a considerable size.

This canton has a lot of commercial activity on the main street, where there are hotels, restaurants, and stores, above all for agricultural products, as well as veterinary services and stores for the daily consumption needs of the population.

On his mother's advice, Edison started his own business a year ago. He opened a grocery store in his neighborhood. He works an average of 12 hours a day and his mother helps him wait on customers.

This young man wants to invest in buying more merchandise to be able to give his customers a better supply of products, and having better sales he will have greater income. This is his first loan and, after the evaluation done by his loan advisor, it was determined that he will be able to make his payments punctually.

His dream is to have his own house and we hope that one day he realizes this.
