Lukundo Group's story

Bryson, who is in his mid-30's, is married and has two children. One of them is going to school and another one is still small. Bryson has been running a business of selling fish at wholesale prices and also selling traditional chicken, which he collects from upcountry. He works from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit. This will be his 3rd loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans for house expenses, to increase his fish stock and to start selling traditional chicken. He has paid back his loans successfully. He wants a loan to increase the fish stock and more traditional chicken and to sell chicken in another place. His dream is to be able to build his own house some day. He will share this loan with his loan group 'Lukundo", which has a total of 11 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
