Salone Microfinance Trust (SMT), a partner of Kiva.org in Makeni, in northern Sierra Leone, is very pleased to present the members of the “Wan Word Movement” group. They are small-scale entrepreneurs who have come to SMT/Kiva lenders to seek a loan of 1,500,000 Sierra Leonean leones (SLL) each in order to invest in their businesses.

Aminata is the leader of this group. She is forty years old and married with 4 children – 2 in primary school and 2 in secondary school. Aminata sells market-food - onions, salt, pepper, etc. With the help of this loan, she will invest in her business by buying onions, salt, pepper, etc. in large quantity to add to her current stock.
