A loan of $5,475 helped a member to increase her stock of groceries and buy more rice cookers and kettles to sell.

Survey Group's story

Christina, who is in her early 30s, is married with two children who are still going to school. She has been running a grocery business and she sells video players, rice cookers and kettles which she sells door to door. She has been in this business for three years now. She works from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be her 9th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans for household expenses, restocked the missing items in her grocery store, bought more kettles,rice cookers and has paid back her loans successfully. She wants a loan to increase on the grocery store stock, buy more rice cookers and kettles to sell. Her dream is to one day be able to build her own house because she has land already.

She will share this loan with her loan group "Survey" which has a total of 15 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
