A loan of $375 helped to buy more vegetables.

Sidney's story

Sidney, 20, is single living in her beloved mother’s house located in the center of the Omaya settlement in Pichari District. Sidney is a young entrepreneur who buys and sells vegetables in her city’s market, an activity she’s been doing for two and a half years. She started out working with her beloved mother until she decided to go out on her own and earn her own income. Since she already had experience in this business it was very easy for her to continue with it.

However, she brings the items she sells from the province of Huamanga and shipping costs are very high. Despite that, however, she still earns profits. Sidney works with help from her little sister who stays to watch over the store when she goes out to do her purchases. Later on she plans to buy a pick-up truck in order to lessen shipping costs.

Sidney is happy with her business that generates good profits. This is her first loan with MFP so she commits to make her installment payments punctually. She will use the 1000 new soles to increase her merchandise.
