A loan of $375 helped to fill customer orders for small appliances.

Sergio's story

Sergio is a very responsible man. He’s 45 years old and his only son, 16 year old Walter, is his motivation to get ahead. They live together in a home of their own. Sergio buys and sells things and has been doing so for 20 years. He tells us that things have always gone well with his sales. In his spare time he checks the production on the land that he inherited from his father. He uses the profits from the sale of the harvest to buy small appliances, such as blenders, irons, televisions, etc. He does this when he gets requests from customers.

Sergio’s greatest desire is for his son to establish himself in a professional career. His immediate goal is to buy the things that his customers have requested. This will be his first loan through MFP and he knows that he will be able to obtain others if he repays this one on time. He’s a member of the board of directors of his communal bank and he appreciates his fellow members for having elected him. He will use the 1,000 PEN, along with his profits from the harvest, to buy some items for his customers.
