Toussaint is the leader of the Community Bank “Sacrée Plus,”which is composed of 25 members united in solidarity to receive loans from Kiva through MFI HOPE DRC with the goal of developing their businesses.

Toussaint sells soft drinks. He started his business in 2007. With his accumulated profits and good management, the business has prospered. Toussaint decided to join one of MFI Hope’s groups in order to achieve his dream of building a facility for storing soft drinks. Currently, his business generates profits of US$129 per month. Toussaint intends to use the next loan to reinforce his working capital by buying fourteen crates of drinks to resell at profit. He is 56 years old, married, and the father of five children whose ages range from 12 to 33 years old. Four of them attend school.
