Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $1,050 helped to improve her pigpens and to buy pigs to raise and sell.

Martha Del Rosario's story

Martha is a 57-year-old woman who has many aspirations for the next years, including to prosper in selling livestock. Her story began with Martha raising and selling pigs, as she learned about it, and beginning to enter the trade. She works alone every afternoon, without difficulties.

Martha isn't married and has 5 children. Her most important dream is her desire to improve her pigpens so she can increase production and animal health and forge ahead. For this reason, she is requesting a loan to assist in livestock sales and, also, to buy more pigs.
