A loan of $1,100 helped to buy six pedigree pigs, feed, vitamins and deparasitizers.

Martín's story

Martín is 74 years old. He has a spouse and eight children. He started working in agriculture at the age of 10. His father taught him so that he could help support the family. When he got together with his spouse he always continued working in agriculture, raising small farm animals, and raising cattle in small scale.

He buys pigs in the squares in nearby cities. He must walk to catch the bus that takes him to the street markets and it takes him 30 minutes to get there. Martín has experience in fattening up and selling pigs. The financing he’s asking from Fundación Campo is to buy six pedigree pigs, feed concentrate, vitamins and deparasitizer to fatten up the pigs.

With the investment he will increase the number of pigs to fatten up and increase his opportunities to sell them either in the community where he lives or in the towns. He hopes through his experience to obtain income because it’s a business that’s very well known by him. He hopes to improve his living conditions and to help his daughter continue with her studies with this income.
