Santa Rosa Group's story

This group chose the name Santa Rosa because it is the name of their neighbourhood.

The following description is about Señora Guzman as she is the group representative. She is 55 years old, married to Sr. Alejo, and they have four children, all of whom are married. She has earned her living selling traditional clothing for more than thirty years.

Sra. Guzman decided to start this business because she wanted a way of helping her husband with household expenses so they could enjoy a better standard of living. She earns a good living from it. The loan money will be used to buy dresses, blouses, shirts, table cloths etc.

Sra. Guzman’s goal is to expand her business a lot more, and she is also thinking of building premises where she can have a store selling local clothing. She would then be able to have more stock and more variety which would lead to greater sales and income.

She is grateful to Fundación Realidad and Kiva as she will be able to improve her life and that of her family. Now they will have an excellent standard of living and financial stability.

The members of the group have the following businesses:
Guzmán: traditional clothing
Lourdes: shoes
Ruth: perfume
Yadir: food

In this group: Guzman, Lourdes, Ruth Mahelet, Yadir
