A loan of $1,200 helped to purchase fertilizers and potato and carrot seeds.

Vakhtang's story

Vakhtang is a 27-year-old farmer. He is from Balanta village, South Georgia. Vakhtang is married and lives with his family: wife Zinaida and two daughters (4 and 2 years old).

Vakhtang is leading his family's agricultural business. He runs a small dairy farm with 3 milk cows. Zinaida produces cheese and sells it locally to dairy product retailers. Along with the dairy, the family grows potatoes and carrots on a family-owned plot of the land. Harvested vegetables are sold locally as well. The total average monthly income of the family is 600 laris.

Vakhtang requested credit for purchasing potato and carrot seeds, as well as fertilizers. After properly tilling and fertilizing the land, Vakhtan will count on a good harvest. After selling the harvest, the family will get a profit, which will be used for family needs.
