Berta Amparo's story

Berta is a very hardworking person who always wants to give her family a better quality of life. Berta is married and the mother of 11 children, whom she has gotten ahead with great effort. With the intention of generating extra income, because her husband's income was not sufficient to maintain the household, she set up a business making "arepas" [cornmeal rolls] with which she generates income to contribute with her husband to the household income. In this way Berta has been able to contribute considerably so her family enjoys a better quality of life and better economic opportunities.

Berta's business has had a very good reception among her customers and she has had very good levels of sales thanks to this. Berta has increased her business production more all the time to be able to attend to the orders made of her.

With the intention of making some improvements to her business, Berta looks for a loan to give her the opportunity to make improvements to her stove and to buy a machine for grinding.

Berta hopes that in this way the production capacity of her business increases and she can satisfy all the requests her customers have made of her. In addition, she hopes that with greater income her family can enjoy a better quality of life and better opportunities for progress.
