A loan of $875 helped to purchase livestock.

Kanymzhan's story

Kanymzhan is 56 years old, a widow and raised four children. In search of a financing source for her family, Kanymzhan started her own business in animal husbandry 30 years ago with an initial sum of 25,000 som (KGS). Thanks to her persistent work, today her business has one dairy cow, five sheep and one bull, which allows her to earn about 5,000 som (KGS) per month from sales of milk and meat products. In order to further develop her business, Kanymzhan requested a loan in the sum of 40,000 som (KGS) to buy sheep. She plans to invest the earnings into increasing her livestock headcount further.
