It is one of the main livestock areas of the country, especially through the production of the canton of San Carlos. Milk processing plants from the Dos Pinos Milk Producers Cooperative have also settled in the province. In the area around the city of Alajuela, a large quantity of exporting manufacturing companies have settled. In Alajuela, the tax-fee areas of El Coyol, Saret, Montecillos, and Bet operate.

Yoeny is requesting a loan of 1,050,000 colones to purchase a simple sewing machine and also a Cuthbert sewing machine. With these, she hopes to make her business grow. Her goal is to be able to continue with her work where she can improve her quality of life and that of her family.

Yoeny is a member of the Canalette "Empresa de Credit" communal bank, one of the 150 member organizations of EDESA in Costa Rica. This is her first loan, and with it, she hopes to continue growing at a personal and economic level. She will also participate actively in her credit organization in her community.
