A loan of $750 helped to convert his vehicle from gas to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Alexander's story

Alexander lives in the city of Camaná, famous for its exquisite shrimp, its clams, and its charming people who always serve their traditional rolls, "alfajores" [sandwich cookies with dulce de leche filling], and "oquendos" [pastries with dulce de leche filling and fondant icing]. It is the world's largest producer of rice per hectare, including Tacuarí rice, one of the best and tastiest types of rice there is. In addition to producing the best rice, the area produces the most delicious beans. The beaches there are the most extensive and the cleanest in the southern part of the country. The scientists say that they are the most beautiful beaches in the south and that they have a good future nationally.

As a good Peruvian he likes the traditional cuisine of our country very much. One of his favorite dishes is our delicious beans. He only studied to the fifth level of secondary school, but he would have enjoyed studying auto mechanics.

Alexander works as a taxi driver. He works about 11 hours a day and is able to serve up to 60 customers on a daily basis. He believes it is going well for him in his business because he is friendly and respectful with the customers.

Alexander is very grateful to the Kiva lenders because thanks to their support he will be able to convert his vehicle from gas to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). With this improvement he will have better income because he will no longer spend very much on combustible. In this way he will be able to continue fighting every day to achieve his big dream: "To study auto mechanics."
